RELEASE OF LIABILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK & INDEMNITY AGREEMENT

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY — THIS AGREEMENT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS

This agreement is made between the participant and/or their parent or legal guardian and True North Volleyball Academy (operating as True North Volleyball Club), hereinafter referred to as “TNVC”, including its directors, officers, coaches, instructors, employees, volunteers, contractors, sponsors, and representatives.

1. Assumption of Risk

I acknowledge that participation in volleyball and related activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

• Physical injury

• Collisions with other participants or equipment

• Falls and overexertion

• Equipment-related injuries

• Other unforeseen risks that may result in serious injury, illness, or, in rare cases, death

By registering for and participating in any TNVC program, training session, event, or activity, I:

• Voluntarily accept and assume all risks associated with participation, whether known or unknown

• Agree to follow all rules, safety instructions, and policies established by TNVC

I FULLY ACCEPT AND ASSUME ALL RISKS OF PARTICIPATION IN TNVC ACTIVITIES.

2. Release of Liability & Waiver of Claims

In consideration of being permitted to participate in TNVC programs and use TNVC facilities or rented spaces, I agree:

• To waive any and all claims against TNVC for injury, loss, damage, or expense arising from participation

• To release TNVC from any and all liability, including liability arising from negligence, to the fullest extent permitted by law

• To assume full responsibility for any injury, loss, or damage that may occur

3. Indemnification

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless TNVC from any and all claims, demands, damages, costs, or legal expenses arising from my or my child’s participation in TNVC activities.

4. Minor Participants

If the participant is under the age of 18:

• This agreement must be signed by a parent or legal guardian

• The parent/guardian agrees to all terms on behalf of the minor

This agreement is binding upon the participant, their heirs, representatives, and assigns.

5. Governing Law

This agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta and applicable Canadian laws.

6. Acknowledgment

By completing registration, the participant and/or parent or legal guardian confirms that they have read, understood, and voluntarily agree to be bound by all terms, conditions, policies, and the Release of Liability, Assumption of Risk, and Indemnity Agreement of True North Volleyball Academy (operating as True North Volleyball Club), hereinafter referred to as “TNVC”.
