PARENT INFORMATION HUB
We're excited to have your family join the TNVC community!
This page has been created to help answer common questions and provide everything you need before your athlete's first session.
COMMUNICATION
sportsYou is the official communication platform used by True North Volleyball Club | TNVC.
All important updates, schedules, reminders, facility changes, weather notifications, and announcements will be communicated through sportsYou.
Parents are encouraged to download the app, join their assigned group, and enable notifications to stay informed throughout the season.
Your sportsYou group code will be emailed prior to the start of the program. Download the app on Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
SCHEDULE
The schedule will be available on our website and within the sportsYou app.
If notifications are enabled, sportsYou will automatically send reminders prior to each practice.
Any schedule changes, updates, cancellations, or important announcements will be communicated through sportsYou.
Outdoor practice times and locations will typically be confirmed 1–2 days prior to the session, as they are dependent on weather conditions.
Please be aware that outdoor sessions may occasionally be canceled due to poor weather or unsafe field conditions.
If weather-related cancellations occur, TNVC will make every reasonable effort to provide a make-up session when facility availability and weather conditions permit.
Please check sportsYou before leaving for outdoor sessions, as weather-related updates will be posted there.
PARTICIPATION
We encourage all athletes to attend as many sessions as possible to maximize their development, confidence, and overall experience throughout the program.
We understand that schedules can be busy with vacations, family commitments, sports, and other activities. Attendance at every session is not mandatory, and athletes are welcome to attend the sessions that work best for their family's schedule.
If your child will not be attending a session, you are welcome to mark them as absent in the sportsYou app. This helps our coaches plan practices and attendance numbers; however, marking attendance is not mandatory.
TNVC APPAREL
TNVC apparel will either be distributed during the first practice or made available for pickup on a designated date and time.
Details regarding shirt distribution will be communicated to families prior to the start of the program through sportsYou and email.
Athletes who are unable to attend the initial distribution will receive their shirt at their next attended practice whenever possible.
